Amongst other things a good CV is one which is highly presentable, balanced, uncluttered, focused and should sell your relevant skills to the optimum. To do this you need to write proactively and powerfully yet pertinently and concisely and to a good length (the current trend is for one or two pages maximum).
If that's not enough there are lots of other considerations too including a strong profile, good legibility, the appropriate format, relevancy to the job, clear direction, a persuasive sales message and more.
